Viewing Recorded Video in ExacqVision
Option 1: Quick replay with exacqReplay (recent recordings)
Use this when you just need to rewind a few minutes from live view.
Open Live window
- Launch ExacqVision Client and load the camera(s) in the Live view.
Right‑click a video panel
- Choose exacqReplay.
Select replay scope
- Video = just that camera.
- Layout = all cameras in the current layout.
Pick start time
- Choose how far back to start (up to 15 minutes).
Control playback
- Use the replay controls (play, pause, fast‑forward, rewind, step frame) to review the clip.
Option 2: Full archive search (any time/date)
Open the Search window
- In ExacqVision Client, click the Search tab.
Select cameras
- Choose one or multiple cameras from the system tree.
Set time range
- Use the calendar and time fields to define start and end times.
Run the search
- The timeline will populate with recorded video segments.
Navigate the timeline
- Drag the playhead to the desired point.
- Use zoom controls for finer time resolution.
Playback controls
- Play, pause, fast‑forward, rewind, or step frame by frame.
- Adjust playback speed as needed.
Synchronized playback
- If multiple cameras are selected, enable sync so all play in time alignment.
Exporting or bookmarking (optional)
- Bookmark: Right‑click on the timeline to add a bookmark with notes for future reference.
- Export: Highlight the desired time range, then click Export. Choose format (native
.EXEwith player, or standard.AVI/.MP4) and destination.
Troubleshooting tips
- No video appears: Confirm the camera is recording and that you selected the correct time range.
- Playback stutters: Reduce the number of simultaneous streams or lower playback speed.
- Export won’t play: Use the bundled ExacqVision Player for native exports, which preserves authentication and watermarks.
