Viewing Recorded Video in ExacqVision

Viewing Recorded Video in ExacqVision

Option 1: Quick replay with exacqReplay (recent recordings)

Use this when you just need to rewind a few minutes from live view.

  1. Open Live window

    • Launch ExacqVision Client and load the camera(s) in the Live view.
  2. Right‑click a video panel

    • Choose exacqReplay.
  3. Select replay scope

    • Video = just that camera.
    • Layout = all cameras in the current layout.
  4. Pick start time

    • Choose how far back to start (up to 15 minutes).
  5. Control playback

    • Use the replay controls (play, pause, fast‑forward, rewind, step frame) to review the clip.

Option 2: Full archive search (any time/date)

  1. Open the Search window

    • In ExacqVision Client, click the Search tab.
  2. Select cameras

    • Choose one or multiple cameras from the system tree.
  3. Set time range

    • Use the calendar and time fields to define start and end times.
  4. Run the search

    • The timeline will populate with recorded video segments.
  5. Navigate the timeline

    • Drag the playhead to the desired point.
    • Use zoom controls for finer time resolution.
  6. Playback controls

    • Play, pause, fast‑forward, rewind, or step frame by frame.
    • Adjust playback speed as needed.
  7. Synchronized playback

    • If multiple cameras are selected, enable sync so all play in time alignment.

Exporting or bookmarking (optional)

  • Bookmark: Right‑click on the timeline to add a bookmark with notes for future reference.
  • Export: Highlight the desired time range, then click Export. Choose format (native .EXE with player, or standard .AVI/.MP4) and destination.

Troubleshooting tips

  • No video appears: Confirm the camera is recording and that you selected the correct time range.
  • Playback stutters: Reduce the number of simultaneous streams or lower playback speed.
  • Export won’t play: Use the bundled ExacqVision Player for native exports, which preserves authentication and watermarks.
